"When Patsy visited in the spring of 2007, she made this recipe at a family gathering at Geri's house. Everyone loved it and begged her to share the recipe. Geno copied the recipe and submitted it to be included in the family cookbook.

INGREDIENTS:

Ground beef -- cooked and drained

1 can refried beans

2 cans green chilies -- diced and drained (Patty recommends the Ortega brand)

2 small cans sliced olives

2 full bunches of diced green baby onions

1 package cheese -- grated

1 Jar salsa verde -- (mild or hot whichever you prefer)

Layer Order; 1. Beans; 2. Ground Beef; 3. Green chilies; 4. Olives; 5. Onions; 6. Cheese; 7. salsa

Bake at 475ºF for 15 minutes. Reduce oven to 350ºF. Cover dip and bake for 30 minutes. When done, top with lettuce and tomatoes and Doritos.
